What this is

SleeperBid helps people discover nearby sales and browse auction catalogs. It brings together source-reported locations, dates, inventory, observed bid activity, and freshness. It is not a broker, appraiser, or bidding service.

SleeperBid never bids for you.

Every bid, every purchase, and every pickup happens on the auction house's own site, under their terms, by you. We place no bids, hold no funds, and take no cut of anything you buy or sell.

Facts, not price advice

The customer experience does not provide estimated resale values, suggested maximum bids, or guaranteed profits. Internal pricing research is not a customer recommendation. Low observed bid activity does not mean an item is valuable, authentic, or underpriced.

Listings can be incomplete or outdated. A last-observed bid is not necessarily the current or final price. Confirm attendance, opening times, cancellation status, and pickup terms with the organizer before travelling.

Before you bid on anything, verify for yourself:

• Condition — photos hide cracks, repairs, missing parts, and fakes.
• Legality — some items are restricted where you live.
• Fees — buyer's premium, sales tax, and card surcharges add up fast.
• Pickup — removal windows are strict, and a cheap lot two hours away is not cheap.

Photos & links

Most lot photos load from the auction house's own website. We locally cache only sources whose recorded rights permit that customer use; other operational caches remain owner-only. Every lot links back to its original listing, and that page is authoritative: if anything here disagrees with it, the source is right.

Account & outcome data

An individual account stores a verified phone number or email, a provider account identifier, its watchlist, feedback, regional plan interest, and any flip outcomes the user chooses to enter. Phone, Google, and email/password authentication are processed by Google Firebase Authentication. Google may receive and store a phone number for spam and abuse prevention; standard SMS and data rates may apply. Passwords and text codes go directly to Firebase, not to SleeperBid's application server. Email/password accounts must verify their email.

New self-service accounts begin on the Free tier. Pro outcome rows are private to that account in the product; the owner can access them for support, security, and aggregate product calibration.

Actual purchase and sale results are valuable because they measure estimator quality against real resale receipts. They are not used to place bids, and SleeperBid does not sell personal account or outcome data.

When a user follows a lot link to an auction website, SleeperBid records the source, destination host, lot, surface, and a ten-minute deduplication bucket so it can report aggregate bidder referrals to auctioneers. The referral ledger does not store raw IP addresses or client-supplied destination URLs.

Saved-lot SMS alert terms

SMS alerts are optional for individual SleeperBid accounts. If you enter a US mobile number and check the separate SMS consent box, KLAR LLC, operating as SleeperBid, may text you about auction lots you save, including a reminder as their listed closing time approaches. Message frequency varies with the lots you save. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not required to use SleeperBid. Reply STOP to end texts or HELP for assistance. You can also turn off SMS alerts from your Account page. Auction clocks and bids can change; the auction house's listing remains authoritative.

SMS privacy

We store the mobile number, consent version and time, and SMS alert status for this feature. We use Twilio to deliver these texts. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS delivery will begin only after phone verification and carrier approval. You may turn off the preference in Account at any time.

Waitlist signups

If you join the waitlist, SleeperBid stores your email address, signup time, and your separate, optional beta-testing preference for launch and access updates. If your first signup comes through our beta campaign link, we also save that campaign label to measure signup interest. We do not send your email to Meta through this signup form or use advertising tracking cookies for this measurement. This does not create an account, verify ownership of your email, or grant beta access. Signups are private to the owner, not shown to other visitors. Signup data is not sold.

Abuse controls use a hashed client identifier rather than storing your raw IP in the waitlist database. To request removal before receiving an email, message the SleeperBid Page. If we contact you, you can also reply asking to be removed.

Beta limitations

This is a private beta run by one person. Coverage has gaps, scrapers break when auction sites change, data can lag behind live bidding, and features may change or disappear without notice. Nothing here is financial, legal, or investment advice, and availability is not guaranteed. Use it as one input among several — never as the only reason to bid.
